GUBELMANN TROPHY

The Gubelmann Trophy, a rare 3/4 scale replica of the America’s Cup was purchased by Commodore James Gubelmann during the 2003 America’s Cup in Auckland, New Zealand. He donated the beautiful trophy to the Americas 12mR fleet to serve as the perpetual trophy for winners of the 12mR North American Championships. It is on display at the 12 Metre Yacht Clubhouse, within the Clarke Cooke House in Newport, Rhode Island.

New Zealand (KZ-3) owner, Gunther Buerman and Tactician, Brad Read were presented with the Gublemann Trophy at the 2014 12mR North American Championship.
